| Purpose: |
To establish standing discipline-based Communities of Interest (COI) that provide communication channels, sharing of information and challenges, and mechanisms for interaction and communication on identified technical topics of interest. The COI will provide a mechanism for communication from the Dam Safety Committee to the broader CDA membership, and an opportunity for the membership to provide input and feedback to the Committee. COIs may also be used as a mechanism to help solicit community feedback on CDA initiatives and deliverables, including the CDA dam safety technical guidance documents. This would primarily include the technical bulletins, but may also include specific technical aspects of the main guidelines themselves. This feedback is intended to focus strictly on technical matters, as the Dam Safety Committee is separately undertaking a revision of the main guideline document focused on overarching principles and overall structure. Link young and experienced professionals to provide continuity within the industry. |
