Canada – Federal Budget 2023
On March 28, 2023, the federal government released the 2023 Budget. The Budget contained a number of measures to encourage investment in a net-zero economy and enhance the growth of electricity supply and transmission systems.
CDA members with hydro electric dam facilities will be interested in the Budget’s Section 3.1 Investing in Clean Electricity references to the importance of hydro electric energy supply and plans to introduce a proposed Clean Electricity Investment Tax Credit to accelerate progress towards a net-zero grid.
