Joy Morassutti will become CDA's Executive Director on Jan. 1, 2021

The Canadian Dam Association is pleased to announce that it has chosen a new company to provide it with management services: Association Concepts Inc. (ACI) of Markham, Ontario.

Joy Morassutti, BA, PCC, CTP will serve as CDA’s Executive Director. Ms. Morassutti will be assuming the role of Executive Director on January 1, 2021 and will be actively involved in transition activities until then.

Association Concepts is one of Canada’s most experienced association management companies. It will put a full team in place to support the CDA. Among ACI’s strengths is its ability to provide services in both official languages.

“Since the beginning of the process, I have seen and continue to be impressed by the high level of volunteer engagement by CDA members,” says Joy Morassutti.

“It will be my pleasure to support CDA,” she states. “With the CDA-ACB Strategy 2020 now in place, it is an exciting time to bring together the staff team’s expertise and CDA’s growth plans. An association is its members and I place a high value on CDA members and stakeholders. I welcome you to share your ideas with me at any time.”

Over the next few months CDA’s existing management company, NFP Performance Improvement Corp., will continue to provide services during the transition to Association Concepts Inc. Both Executive Director Don Butcher and Saskia Martini-Wong will continue to support CDA until the transition is complete. The team of coordinators that support CDA committees and working groups is unchanged at this time.
