Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project, India (DRIP)

Through the Central Water Commission (CWC), the Government of India embarked upon the Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project (DRIP) to improve safety and operational performance of selected dams with assistance from the World Bank. This program currently includes 198 dam projects undergoing rehabilitation across India. In September 2018, the Government of India increased the DRIP program budget to US$ 533 M.

The DRIP projects offer tremendous opportunities for Canadian companies. Officials of CWC and DRIP along with the Canada Trade Commission in New Delhi, have approached CDA to facilitate partnerships between Canadian companies and potential clients in India.

Canada Pavilion at ICOLD 2020

All Canadian exhibitors will be invited to place their booths together, along with CDA, to create a themed Canada Pavilion that will effectively promote the reputation of the Canadian dam safety community. CDA and Trade Commissioners will organize areas for business-to-business meetings and will facilitate introductions to key representatives from DRIP. This will be a gathering spot for Canadian delegates to meet potential clients from all parts of the world.

Please join us in New Delhi. In addition, let us know about your interest in other locations.
