Public Safety Workshop
The Public Safety Workshops have received high praise as very practical hands-on events providing realistic case studies and tools that can immediately be applied for assessment of public safety risks at a facility.
Instructors are trained in the CDA methodology and materials. Classes are limited in size so that participation is maximized and case studies can be addressed by small working groups.
This workshop is suitable for
- Managers responsible for risk management assessments or decisions related to public safety
- Operators and inspectors of dam facilities
- Municipal staff with properties adjacent to dams
- Regulatory officials
- Engineers and consultants who provide services to any of the above.
Instruction will be based on Public Safety Around Dams. Participants should bring their own copy or order it as part of the workshop registration process.
A binder of presentation materials, case studies and worksheets is included in the registration fee, and will be handed out at the workshop.
