A CDA Working Group is currently developing a new technical bulletin on the Identification and Analysis of Failure Modes and Failure Mechanisms. A systems approach and functional analysis approach is being adapted from various methods such as FMEA and PFMEA. This session first review the general methodologies as presented at previous CDA Conference Workshops, and then outline the advancements that have been made in the past year in regard to applications and the ranking of failure modes.
Objectives include the transfer of knowledge, awareness of new technical guidance in development, obtain feedback on failure modes analytical techniques being proposed.
