Presented in French
The Yukon is a vast and sparsely populated northern territory of Canada, synonymous with wilderness, mountains and glaciers. The development and operation of hydroelectric and tailing dams present very different challenges than the rest of Canada. It is required to adapt to a harsh sub-arctic climate, a very young and changing geology, and significant impacts from climate change. This presentation will provide an overview of the Yukon reality in the field of dams.
