Celebrating Canadian Dams!

To celebrate CDA’s 25th anniversary, CDA wanted to promote the great Canadian dams that have contributed to the progress of our economy and society.

In May 2022, a national contest was launched where CDA members and non-members were invited to submit their “Most Interesting Dam in Canada” with background description and picture.

Nine dams were selected for each Canadian region and during the nine following weeks, from July to September, each regional winner was posted on social media (LinkedIn/Twitter) for public to vote on the CDA contest webpage.

The winning dam was announced at the 2022 CDA St John’s Conference: Duncairn Dam, Saskatchewan, submitted by Sydney James was the Grand Prize winner!

Enjoy the gallery of the 9 regional winners that are great representatives of our Canadian dam expertise and history.
