Attachment: Conference Brochure
Dear CDA Member
Please find attached an electronic copy of the brochure advertising the upcoming Canadian Dam Association Conference in Niagara Falls; Partnering for a Safer Future October 2nd to 7th, 2010 at the Sheraton-on-the-Falls Hotel. As a CDA member who has enjoyed the benefits of attending our CDA conferences we would like to ask for your assistance in attracting new members to the Association by inviting your colleagues to attend the Conference. We would encourage you to forward the brochure on to others who may not have previously participated in a CDA event and therefore are not receiving our Bulletin and Conference notices.
Once again the Canadian Dam Association is offering a superb technical program, complete with plenary and concurrent sessions, preconference workshops that will appeal to the full spectrum of the industry: from small dam owners with an interest in what they need to do to institute a program to manage the safety of their facilities; right through to experienced practitioners looking for the latest in technology developments.
We have also designed a series of networking opportunities during the conference and at the evening social events, as well as a full Companion’s Program, that will make your attendance, and that of your colleagues even more rewarding.
View the Program-at-a-Glance on the CDA Niagara 2010 website www.cda.ca/2010conference/
Looking forward to seeing you in Niagara this October!

Canadian Dam Association Announcement - Posted 17 Aug. 2009
Dear CDA member:
This is to advise that Barry Hurndall has resigned as Executive Director of the Canadian Dam Association effective August 23, 2009. Mr. Hurndall has held this position on a part time basis since it was created in 2002. As our Association has grown over the years, it has demanded more of Barry's time and effort at the expense of his consulting engineering business. As a consequence, Barry has elected to concentrate exclusively on his consulting business. We wish Barry every success in this endeavor going forward.
Sincerely,
Sayed Ismail
President-CDA
